Description

Global Highland are working with a service focused, performance driven client, offering construction, maintenance and enhancement solutions to a diverse range of energy industry customers. We are currently looking to source a dedicated and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Commercial Team at their Nigg Energy Park offices. The role will focus primarily on work within the Renewable and Sustainable Energy sectors. Potential flexible working requests will be considered.

Key Accountabilities

• Preparation of financial reports and collation of cost data.
• Involvement with tendering process and review of contractual documents.
• Liaising with Project Managers to ensure regular cash flow and undertaking of any commercial related tasks.
• Work closely with the Commercial team in all aspects of Quantity Surveying and financial reporting.
• Liaising with clients in all Commercial related tasks.

Experience & Qualification

• Strong communication skills with an ability to work independently or part of a project team.
• Understanding of Contractual Conditions and ability to capture and value change. In particular NEC forms of contract.
• Candidates will be 10 years post qualified Quantity Surveyors required to work within a fast-paced environment who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Proficient in MS Office in particular Excel and Word.
• Leadership pipeline within the group to set a path for planned career progression/development.

• Request information necessary to perform the task.

• Undertake agreed training in order to provide a framework of knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the team/department/business unit in order to demonstrate and maintain required competency in role.
• Participate in regular reviews with relevant managers, identifying and agreeing action plans where appropriate.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

• Comply with and support the Business Management System within own scope of responsibilities and within the Company as a whole.
• Responsible for developing, modifying and adhering to procedures and / or processes to support the System and its applications within own area of responsibilities.
