Description

Global Highland are working with a prestigious client who are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join their busy Finance department on a full time, permanent position. As Assistant Finance Manager, you will be responsible for financial control, accounting, reporting, modelling and budgeting to support the Finance & Business Services Manager.

The Role

• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Day-to-day management of the finance department
• Assisting with the preparation of statistical information
• Supporting in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, tax returns and financial management reports
• Working with the Business Development and Commercial team to monitor BREXIT implications and compliance
• Providing support with financial projects and financial developments for performance and maintenance of the organisation
• Assisting in the management of banking and corporate financing requirements
• Controlling allocated budgets and preparation of associated budgetary bids
• Overseeing payroll, and support pension administration and management
• Assisting in the management and maintenance of financial control systems, accounting procedures and finance systems
• Involvement in Customer/Supplier liaison and Business Development
• Other duties as required in order to meet the needs of the business

The Person

• Ideally will be a Chartered Accountant however individuals part qualified in CIMA, ACCA, aspiring to gain Chartership will also be considered
• Previous experience in a similar role, with strong financial capability is essential
• Self motivated and strong problem solving skills
• Commercially astute and awareness of business development
