Global Highland has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civils Site Engineer to join our well-respected clients team on a full time permanent basis in Inverness. We are looking for someone with proven years of industry experience in both commercial and residential based projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the plant & operators using GPS machine control equipment.
- Setting out of works on site as required
- Checking information provided to identify issues prior to commencing works & where required liaise with client/designer to rectify.
- Providing reactive support to sites to resolve design issues
- Carry out surveys at required stages as a project develops, to assist commercial department in measuring earthworks, drainage, etc
- Raise and manage project RFI’s and feedback to the project management team
- Assist site manager in ensuring works meet the require QA standards & project specification
- Prepare and issue project as-builts on completion of works
Training & Skills
- HNC Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of civil engineering site experience
- Holds as a minimum SMSTS/SSSTS, 3 day 1st Aid, NRSWA & TWS/TWC
- Full UK driving license
- Confident using Autocad and the full Microsoft office suite
- Experience using GPS setting out and machine control equipment
- Fully conversant in modern and traditional setting out techniques used in commercial and residential works
- Have good communications skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
