Global Highland has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our prestigious Inverness based client’s growing team on a fulltime permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based on a house build project in Fort William, accommodation will be provided on top of a generous salary and vehicle package.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent
• First Aid at Work
• Black CSCS Card
• Background in House build
• Awareness of contract site health & safety requirements
• Preparation of Risk Assessments & Method Statements, as well as review of RAMS from others
• Leadership qualities
• Quality focused, attention to detail
• Experience/knowledge of various elements of construction works
• Excellent Communication, Coordination and Time Management Skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the daily organisation of construction operatives & sub-contractors in line with the project programme
• Take off and Material Requisitions
• Required to communicate human and equipment resource requirements to senior teams.
• Be responsible for the quality management of all construction works on site with focus on workmanship standards.
• Will liaise with the Contracts Manager & QS in order to bring the project in on time and within budget.
• Be accountable for all materials and plant used by the construction team.
• Be flexible in approach to work.
• Offer excellent experience and knowledge of the house building industry
• Lead by example and promote a safe working environment and ensure that health and safety requirements are adhered to on site by following company procedures
• Promote the use of Dynamic RAMS and the company Take 5 Safety Prompt Card and Observation Card Systems.
• Mentor apprentices/less-experienced employees
• Attend progress meetings with Clients and internal management
• Report site progress
• Manage the construction programme and report & resolve issues
• Develop quality inspection test plans and ensure checklists are completed
