Global Highland’s client has an opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a temporary basis for approximately 4 months. This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours per week. As Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all accounting tasks.

Main Duties

• Credit card expenditure processing the spends – (Training can be given)
• Data processing
• Daily posting of expenditure invoices on Quickbooks
• Daily posting of Income/sales invoices on Quickbooks
• Daily review of Slack (internal communications channels), to identify invoices for posting
• Regularly updating Slack with actions taken regarding invoice posting
• Running Debtors/Creditors reports to verify postings
• Aged Creditro reporting to identify invoices due for payment
• Preparation of payment lists for the Accounts assistant to make payment
• Invoice verification and checking with suppliers
• Supporting the counting and verification of petty cash and reconciling any differences
• Review transactions in QuickBooks to verify VAT coding is correct and in line with internal guidelines

The Person

• Previous experience of bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of accounting packages (Quickbooks would be an advantage)
