Our client a well-established family-owned business in the Ross-shire area. Currently introducing a new system into the work place they have an opening for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team. This is a temporary position for 3-6 months.
Whilst in this position you will be required to;
•Assisting project manager with the migration to our new hire software including project work and ensuring the customer and supplier ledgers are cleansed ahead of the migration
•Cleansing of other purchasing reports/information to ensure a smooth migration and to ensure we’re only carrying forward relevant information to the new system
•Data entry work to transfer data from the old hire software to the new hire software
•Helping with the day-to-day account’s duties within the team
•Answering telephone and email enquiries regarding purchase ledger or sales ledger
•Management of the supplier ledger including query resolution and supplier statement reconciliations
•Management of the customer ledger including query resolution, credit control and debt collection
•Assisting with various HR tasks and payroll processing
•Assisting with any duties as instructed by Company Accountant to help with the completion of the Management Accounts, year-end audit and other relevant work
The ideal candidate will have;
•Be qualified or part-qualified at AAT/ACCA or CIMA level
•Have a minimum 1-year experience working in an accounting role
•Ideally have a working knowledge of Sage Accounts 50 and Microsoft Excel but training will be given for the right candidate
•Work well under pressure/meeting deadlines
