    Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

    Location: Inverness, Scotland Company

    Global Highland is looking for a Purchase Ledger to join our client, a leading supplier company based in Inverness, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to valued customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a critical role in managing the financial transactions and records related to our supplier accounts.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Invoice Processing: Accurately process and record supplier invoices, matching them with purchase orders and delivery receipts.

    • Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all accounts are up to date.

    • Payment Processing: Prepare and process supplier payments, ensuring they are made in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Supplier Communication: Collaborate with suppliers to address queries, discrepancies, and payment-related matters in a professional and efficient manner.

    • Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the purchase ledger and assist with data entry as necessary.

    • Month-End Procedures: Assist in month-end closing and reporting activities, including ledger analysis and accruals.

    Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role is preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with numerical data.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers.
    • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a team.
