If you’re ready to explore opportunities, register your CV and we’ll be in touch to discuss roles that suit your experience.
Avoid sending the same cover letter to every employer. Read the job description carefully, pick out the key skills and qualities they are looking for, and weave them into your letter. This shows you have done your homework and that you are genuinely interested in this role, not just any role.
Begin with a clear introduction of who you are, the position you are applying for, and why it caught your attention. Avoid generic lines like "I am writing to apply for the role of..." and make it engaging and personal to you.
Focus on two or three key examples from your experience that match what the employer is looking for. Where possible, include results such as targets met, projects delivered, or improvements you have made. This adds weight to your claims and helps the reader picture you in the role.
Employers value candidates who understand their work and values. Mention something specific about the company that excites you, whether it is their recent projects, their reputation in the industry, or their approach to clients.
Aim for no more than one page, split into three to four short paragraphs. A busy hiring manager will thank you for getting to the point quickly while still showing enthusiasm.
Close your letter by thanking the reader for their time, stating your interest in discussing your application further, and making it easy for them to get in touch.
