The Opportunity.
Our client, a country house hotel in Thurso, is looking for an experienced chef for 4-6 weeks with potential to be extended.
Key Responsibilities.
Oversee daily kitchen activities and ensure smooth service
Coordinate food preparation and cooking across stations
Step in to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the required standards
Monitor portion sizes, presentation, and taste
Maintain consistency in recipes and plating
Ensure team members follow kitchen procedures and standards
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
Monitor proper storage and handling of ingredients
Assist with ordering supplies and managing stock levels
Reduce waste and control food costs
Check deliveries for quality and accuracy
Requirements.
Essential.
Minimum of Sous Chef level
Follow Health and Safety procedures

£15.00 per hour
