Global Highland are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and people-focused Restaurant Manager to join our client and their team in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality manager who enjoys bringing out the best in others, leading a loyal team and delivering memorable experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities
As Restaurant Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of service and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the business.
You’ll play a key role in supporting, motivating and developing the team, creating an environment where people feel valued, confident and encouraged to grow. From managing busy services to planning ahead and maintaining excellent standards, you’ll bring organisation, energy and a hands-on approach to everything you do.
Daily Operations: Oversee the smooth running of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, food quality and cleanliness.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, motivate and manage front-of-house staff, creating a positive and professional working environment.
Customer Experience: Ensure excellent customer service, handle guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
Staff Scheduling: Prepare rotas, manage staffing levels and ensure adequate cover during busy periods.
Financial Management: Monitor sales, labour costs, budgets and operating expenses to achieve financial targets.
Stock Control: Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries and inventory, minimising waste and controlling costs.
Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, licensing and other relevant regulations.
Standards and Procedures: Maintain consistent service standards and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
Business Performance: Drive sales, maximise profitability and identify opportunities to improve restaurant performance.
Communication: Work closely with the kitchen team, senior management and suppliers to ensure efficient operations.
Problem-Solving: Handle operational challenges effectively and maintain a calm, professional approach under pressure.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor customer satisfaction, team performance and service quality, implementing improvements where necessary
Requirements
Hospitality management experience is essential. You’ll have a solid understanding of restaurant operations and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
A passion for developing people. You enjoy coaching, mentoring and helping team members reach their full potential.
Strong leadership skills. You can inspire, support and lead a loyal team, building trust and encouraging a shared sense of purpose.
Excellent time management. You’re organised, efficient and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A hands-on attitude. You lead from the front, set high standards and are happy to get involved wherever needed.
A passion for people and sport. You enjoy working with others and appreciate the active lifestyle and opportunities that come with living and working in the Highlands.
A positive, proactive mindset. You’re adaptable, approachable and committed to making the restaurant a great place for both guests and colleagues.
What's on Offer
A permanent position with a salary starting at £32,000 per annum.
A 37.5-hour working week.
