As 2024 comes to a close, we’d like to thank our clients, candidates, and contractors for their ongoing trust and support throughout the year. It has been a remarkable period of growth and achievement for Global Highland, and we’re thrilled to share some of our key highlights.
Within our team, we’ve celebrated some incredible milestones. Lyndsey Wilkinson received a long-service award to mark her five-year anniversary with the business, reflecting her dedication, creativity, and hard work. She also took on the role of Business Director and has been driving significant growth across all divisions. Outside of the office, Lyndsey continues to be a Mentor Coordinator at BNI Highland.
This year, we were also delighted to see the promotion of Kirsty Heughan to Senior Recruitment Specialist, where she continues to build and develop new and existing client relationships within the industrial sector. Kirsty also earned her Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice (CertRP) with Merit, which has given her deeper insights into the recruitment process, from understanding industry best practices to enhancing client and candidate relationships. In the second half of the year, we were also thrilled to expand our team with the addition of a new Business Support professional and a Recruitment Specialist.
Back in April, Global Highland won the award for 'Best Recruitment Business' (National) at the 2024 Scotland Business Awards, which reflects the trust and confidence that our clients, candidates, and partners have placed in us. It’s also a testament to the relationships we have built, the personalised solutions we have delivered, and the lasting value we have created. We also renewed our Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority license, which safeguards vulnerable and exploited workers, and allows us to expand our horizons to serve new industries.
Fostering community spirit, we continued to sponsor professional boxer George Stewart from Inverness and Croy Primary School's football team. We were also delighted to support Leo’s Pride by sponsoring the ‘Party with the Pride’ event, with Lyndsey completing the Great Glencoe Challenge — a 26.2-mile trek through some of Scotland’s most dramatic landscapes — in aid of the Highland-based baby loss charity. Additionally, we attended the Archie Foundation's annual Prosecco Picnic and supported the Moonlight Ball, where GEG Capital proudly served as the main sponsor.
Lyndsey, our Business Director, reflects: “2024 has been a year of significant growth across all divisions. As we look ahead to 2025, with exciting plans on the horizon — including expanding our hard-working team — we’re eager to continue building relationships with existing clients and welcoming new ones. We look forward to seeing what the next twelve months hold, but in the meantime, thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this year – we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
