We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in a busy 4-star hotel in the beautiful Banff area. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your culinary career with support, responsibility, and room to grow.

What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 2 years’ experience at Sous Chef level
Proven experience in a busy 4-star hotel kitchen
A confident leader who can step up when the Head Chef is away
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen compliance
Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food and menu innovation
Key Responsibilities:
Training and mentoring chefs across all sections
Assisting the Head Chef with GP management
Creating and managing the kitchen & KP rota
Organising daily food and function prep
Ordering and stock control
Collaborating with the Head Chef on menu planning
Leading the kitchen and resolving issues in the Head Chef’s absence
Keeping all EHO paperwork up to date
Regularly updating the specials board with new dishes
