About the company: Our client is a leading care home dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to their residents. Their team is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel at home. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our clients team on a temporary basis.
Job Description: As a Temporary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our residents. You will work closely with our dietary team to ensure that all meals are prepared according to dietary requirements and preferences. In addition to cooking, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area, as well as assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Responsibilities:
·Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences
·Ensure that all meals are served at the appropriate temperature and in a timely manner
·Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
·Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
·Follow all health and safety guidelines
Requirements:
·Disclosure Scotland
·Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a care home or similar setting
·Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
·Excellent organizational and time management skills
·Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills
·Flexibility to work shift hours, including evenings and weekends
