Press Operator – Production Environment

Location: Inverness
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Shift work, 7am - 7pm

Are you an experienced professional from a manufacturing or production background? Are you ready to take on a challenging role where you’ll play a vital part in maintaining operations within a fast-paced production environment?

We’re seeking a Press Operator to join our team and contribute to the success of our operations.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining plant and machinery to the highest standards. This role is ideal for someone who is qualified to Higher Education level or has significant, relevant experience in a continuous operating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain all plant and machinery in line with company Health and Safety policies.
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with the Quality Assurance manual.
• Conduct equipment monitoring, identify abnormalities, and log/report deviations or interruptions.
• Support and monitor fire-fighting equipment under the guidance of the fire team leader.
• Perform planned maintenance as per manufacturer recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and creating Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
• Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures and report any EHS incidents.
• Carry out detailed Risk Assessments for operational tasks.
• Display adherence to all company policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Higher Education qualification or substantial experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe work practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
