Our client is an independent salmon farming business. Currently looking for a skilled and dependable Industrial Electrician to join their well established Engineering team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems across their food processing facility and remote salmon farming sites. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same—ideal for someone who’s flexible, safety-focused, and enjoys a mix of factory and field-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns at both factory and farm locations
• Install and maintain electrical systems and components such as motors, control panels, lighting, pumps, drives, and PLCs
• Quickly diagnose faults to minimise disruption to production
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, food safety, and environmental standards
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records
• Support capital projects and improvements in electrical systems
• Travel to off-site salmon farms as required (travel and accommodation covered)
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours breakdowns

What We’re Looking For

• Fully qualified Electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work
• Strong commitment to health and safety, including Lockout/Tagout and HACCP procedures
• Confident interpreting technical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with PLCs, control systems, and variable speed drives is a strong plus
• Full UK driving licence (or equivalent)

Nice to Have

• Basic mechanical knowledge or multi-skilled experience
