    Description

    Our client is a leading is a forward-thinking EPCI specialist transforming energy projects through integrated engineering and construction solutions. Currently looking for Logistics Materials Supervisor to join their well established team in Invergordon.

    The Logistics Materials Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and delivery of EPCI projects. Working closely with internal operations teams and external stakeholders, this individual ensures that all equipment, materials, and consumables are managed efficiently and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The role involves progress tracking, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving.

    Key Responsibilities

    Logistics & Materials Management

    • Ensure compliance with established procedures for goods receipt and dispatch
    • Coordinate the movement and tracking of project equipment and materials
    • Collaborate with Operations to identify material and equipment requirements
    • Oversee equipment inspection, condition control, and documentation

    Supplier & Vendor Coordination

    • Maintain and regularly update the Approved Supplier Register
    • Identify and engage reliable suppliers to foster long-term partnerships
    • Negotiate favourable terms and agreements with vendors

    Procurement & Inventory Control

    • Raise and monitor purchase orders, delivery timelines, and supplier performance
    • Ensure timely availability of all materials and equipment required for project delivery
    • Coordinate transport logistics and site deliveries
    • Promote cost-efficiency and savings through strategic procurement practices

    Equipment, Materials & Infrastructure Oversight

    • Maintain accurate trackers for equipment, materials, and consumables
    • Update infrastructure-related documents and arrange inspections as required
    • Serve as the point of contact with relevant authorities, clients, and suppliers
    • Conduct site and company inductions when necessary
    • Submit documentation accurately and in a timely manner

    Communication & Project Support

    • Serve as a liaison across project teams to maintain clear and consistent communication
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for on-time delivery and service fulfilment
    • Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders, providing updates and resolutions
    • Monitor and report on operational performance, opportunities, and areas for improvement

    Risk Management & Problem Solving

    • Proactively identify potential risks and contribute to mitigation planning
    • Track and manage project change requests in line with company protocols
    • Support issue resolution by coordinating with cross-functional teams

    Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure all logistics and materials activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and HSEQ standards
    • Support quality audits and checks as per contract and compliance requirements
    • Promote and assist with environmental and safety initiatives related to project delivery

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Experience

    • 2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics/materials supervision, preferably within EPCI, energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors
    • Proven supervisory and team leadership experience
    • Experience in multi-disciplinary project environments
    • Knowledge of energy infrastructure, offshore wind, oil & gas, or renewable sectors is advantageous

    Technical Skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and planning software (e.g., MS Project)
    • Understanding of project lifecycle stages and logistics workflows
    • Experience with ERP systems, procurement tools, and document control platforms
    • Strong purchasing and logistics coordination background
    • Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and a proactive work ethic

    Soft Skills

    • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal skills
    • Skilled in prioritising tasks under pressure in fast-paced environments
    • Adaptable and capable of multitasking
    • Team-oriented with a hands-on approach to support
